How to Make Christmas Preparations More Enjoyable Order
Christmas time is approaching. Although it doesn't look like it outside yet, I took advantage of today's beautiful Indian summer to tidy up the garden. Well, nothing much, but more and more often the thought of the upcoming pre-Christmas cleaning of the household comes to my mind. It's going to be chaos. Oh dear! One day, lost in my thoughts, sipping coffee, with all sorts of things flying through my head, suddenly, I had a divine thought! Why not make this pre-Christmas madness a little easier this year? I’ll just skip the big Christmas cleaning this year and clean as I normally would, like every day. After all, only family will visit, the kids. And they expect a full table of good food, not a cleaned kitchen countertop.
The next day, I came back to this thought, and it didn’t seem like the best idea anymore. After all, it’s part of the festive atmosphere. Every good housewife does it. And I, at least I hope, am one. And so, my pre-Christmas blues returned. How will I survive this year? Every day something hurts, something pinches me. I really don’t want to do this at all.
And lo and behold! A great idea was born in my perfect little head. I’ll leave this unpleasant task to some cleaning company. Hurrah, problem solved. I sighed with relief.
I mentioned my great idea to my colleagues at work. Their reactions were varied. Some applauded, others gave me a disdainful look. It’s like with everything, every person has their opinion. So I took it that way. A colleague who was mentally applauding and maybe even inspired by me for this year told me, "Look, there’s a huge offer online, hard to choose, but the best thing is to check reviews, or take a company that someone has already used and was happy with. And today is your lucky day. I’m the one who has this experience. I was really satisfied, and when you tell them your exact requirements, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied too." That day I left work in a better mood than usual and was already looking forward to sitting down at the computer, checking the website of the recommended company, and possibly contacting them that same day. And that’s exactly what happened.
The company’s website had almost all very positive reviews, so I started filling out the order form. However, I came across a section where I had to state my requirements. I hesitated – to clean the house? Then I remembered my colleague's words, that to be completely satisfied, I have to be as specific as possible with my requirements. So I began filling in the box. Clean the windows, including the blinds, clean the upholstery, clean the carpets, wash all the doors, radiators, kitchen counter, and furniture. The box filled up nicely, but fortunately, I could continue writing my requirements. I also requested to clean the bathroom, including the tiles and, of course, the toilet. And that's it! Sent! If someone had been sitting next to me, they would have definitely heard the sigh of relief. Now I’m looking forward to Christmas.
