How I moved thousands of toys Order
Dust and cardboard boxes swirled through the air like snowflakes in a storm. In the middle of this chaos, I stoodME, the owner of a medium-sized toy shop, with my hands on my hips and a thoughtful expression on my face. My beloved shop was, and still is cozy, but its capacity had long stopped keeping up with the growing number of teddy bears, wooden trains, toy cars, games, and construction sets that crowded the shelves and the totally overstuffed storage. That's why I decided to take a radical step - moving to new, larger premises with a big storage area.
The new premises, former offices of some IT company, not only appealed to me greatly, but they also promised plenty of space. In my mind, I clearly saw my toys settling into spacious shelves and customers strolling happily between the aisles full of games and fun. But the reality of moving turned out to be a bit more complicated than I had originally imagined.
Just packing the toys turned into an adventurous expedition. I waded through mountains of plush toys, balanced on unstable towers of Lego, and tried to untangle a knot of dragon tails. Every box hid a surprise. A forgotten marble run, a collection of old toy cars, or even a talking parrot I couldn’t even remember. There were mountains of boxes, and I honestly didn’t know where to start. So, I decided to order someone who would organize this entire packing and moving process for me.
Someone who had done this before and would know where to begin. So, I hired a moving company recommended by a longtime friend. Some kind of franchise network called Extra Services. And I made a great choice.
The guys got to work the very next day, and I just marveled. What would have taken me days with employees, they completed in a few hours. And when all the toys, plush toys, equipment, and disassembled shelves were safely packed into boxes, it was time for loading and transport. The vehicles that were used to carry all the goods from the storage and the shop looked like real giants, but in reality, only half the load fit. So, the whole process had to be repeated once more. But it had a great advantage. While the movers were busy, we were calmly unpacking.
Then the guys put together all the shelves and arranged the furniture exactly as we wanted.
After a few tweaks and a final clean-up, I managed to transform the factory into a cozy toy shop with a huge storage area and nearly unlimited space. The toys finally found their new homes - the plush toys settled on soft cushions, the construction sets proudly stood on the shelves, and the trains raced along their new track. The move wasn’t exactly a walk in the park, but the result was worth it. The new toy storage became a paradise for both children and adults, where everyone could find a toy to their liking.
And what happened to the talking parrot? I gave him to the guys who helped us so wonderfully with the move of our warehouse and store.
